This weekend I FINALLY got to visit the absolutely stunning studio of Bryony&Bloom. It was the open studio weekend for 2nd Floor Studios, based in Greenwich. Oh my goodness it was such a delight to walk into! Colour, colour, gorgeous colour…oooh yum!
If you don’t know the work of Bryony just take a look. She paints large scale pieces with juicy oil paints and then creates prints & patterns from them, all in vibrant, takes-no-prisoners palettes. Many of her ranges are inspired by far flung corners of the world and the first range that caught by eye was Stone Town – a gloriously sunny collection inspired by Zanzibar. I gave in and bought her Stone Town umbrella and then went back and got a matching cushion! I may just have to get a mug as well . . .
Bryony welcomes collaborations so if you have a project in mind get in touch with her here. She is currently working on a rather impressive mural at the Bentley Priory Museum and I cannot wait to see the final piece . . . if her current portfolio is anything to go on it’ll be stunning I’m sure!
